QUALITY AND CERTIFICATION

Each and every step of manufacturing at KMP follows adherence to strict quality parameters, and focus lies on quality throughout the various stages involved. All raw material and semi-finished goods at KMP pass through stringent quality norms as laid down in the Quality Manual of the company. Testing Laboratories at KMP KMP has fully equipped testing laboratories to test all of its products in-house. The testing plans (set at significantly higher margins than mentioned in the Standards) are laid out as per BIS to cater to the products in the Indian market. KMP also has a vast range of products certified as per the various Standards established by ISO.

PROCESSES

SINTERED PARTS

1- Mixing :- Metal powders the basic raw material in manufacturing sintered parts, mixed together according to composition of desired final products.
2- Compaction :- Application of high pressures to the powder to form them into the required shape.
3- Sintering : - Heating of compacted material at a temperature below the melting point to cause solid state bounding of particles and strengthening of parts.
The result of these basic operation is a metallic part with a certain micro-porosity, high dimensional precision, and perfectly functional when the obtained characteristics meet the component specifications.

POWDER

Out of several ways of converting metals into powder ATOMISATION and ELECTROLYSIS are the process followed at KMP to obtain finest quality of metal powders .
1- Atomisation :-In this process molten metal is broken up into small droplets and rapidly frozen before the drops come into contact with each other or with a solid surface.The principal method is to disintegrate a thin stream of molten metal by subjecting it to the impact of high energy jets of gas or liquid. Air, nitrogen and argon are commonly used gases, and water is the liquid most widely used.
2- Electrolysis :- In the electrolytic refining of copper, the impure copper is made from the anode in an electrolyte bath of copper sulfate, and sulfuric acid . The cathode is a sheet of very pure copper. As current is passed through the solution, positive copper ions, Cu2+, in the solution are attracted to the negative cathode, where they take on electrons and deposit themselves as neutral copper atoms, thereby building up more and more pure copper on the cathode.

Equipped with latest and sophisticated machineries, KMP has been successful in delivering excellent quality product to its customers. A completely new production line has been set up to manufacture sintered products at KMP. Our company has a technical collaboration with the Korean company Daekwang Sinter Metal who are leaders in manufacturing of a large variety of powder metal parts We have a team of highly experienced and dedicated professionals who come from various excellent backgrounds serving KMP with passion and their hard work.
